DELAYED RESPONSE TIMES FOR TEXTS PUT YOU IN THE GAME The first - TopicsExpress

DELAYED RESPONSE TIMES FOR TEXTS PUT YOU IN THE GAME The first aspect of texting that I will address is how response times of texting drastically differ from that of regular conversation. They are similar though they differ on account of the fact that you have time to respond in a text. In a normal conversation you have to respond almost spontaneously to the other person. If you don’t respond right away you can be deemed as deceptive, not verbally adept, distracted etc. Your listener can come to a wide variety of conclusion to why you are not responding immediately to his or her questions or comments. On the other hand, with texting she can believe whatever she wants about why you have not responded to her immediately, but she can’t know for certain. You now have plenty of time to think up an appropriate response to her texts. Have you ever been irked by what a woman has said and instead allowing your cerebral cortex to maintain control over the subcortical regions of your brain you let out an amalgam of obscenities that would make the girl possessed by Pzzuzu in the Exorcist look fit for the church choir. With texting you can easily prevent that from happening, though if you are so foolish as to text when mad you might end up reneging on your Omerta oaths that you made to yourself before setting out on your quest to be a Darwinian Dater.
