DELTA 2015 SIR TONY OBUH, THE SHINING LIGHT WHOM THE CAP FITS PERFECTLY (Part one). By Vincent Jude Oshiagwu Jr. There is no gain saying the fact that nothing gives a man so great advantage over others, as to remain always cool, unruffled and focused under all circumstances. He stands out and shine even at the darkest hour. Sir Tony Obuh is a shining light. One real fact we must all know is that ONE honest and GOD fearing man is of more worth to a society and in the sight of GOD than many crowned liers. The scripture clarified this fact when it states that LIGHT shines in darkness and the darkness could not comprehend it. What this statement simply mean is that the presence of LIGHT brings about the disappearance of darkness. Considering the developmental roadmap put in place by the present administration of our great state, it becomes imperative to invite an innovator, an accomplished achiever and a torch bearer with a wide array of ideas, knowledge. leadership potential, vast experience and a man who has been in the engine room of these programmes and policies to take charge for a smooth sail. This is continuity, continuity is the bedrock of even development and rapid economic growth of any society. Continuity is needed in our great Delta State to bring about permanent happiness, security, prosperity, abiding peace which are the hallmark of good governance. These are what Deltans are earnestly seeking, so that their desire will no longer be a mirage or foolish dreams. Truly, a shining light, a man of honour poised to impacting on the lives of the people has emerged this time around in the person of sir Tony Obuh to move Delta state to greater hieght. In earnest, it takes only one visionary man with courage to make a majority. Such a man stands out among the crowd because he agrees with the people in principle and in practice. There is no doubt that, one man with dream is better than ninety nine other men with self interest. An innovator, who can run a wise and frugal government which shall restraint men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuit of happiness, industry and improvement and which shall not take from the mouth of labour the bread it has earned, is what Deltans want. A visionary leader who is an innovator does things other people either have not done or will not do. He is a LIGHT to his people because he maximises their lives and potential. He develops a passion for life motivated by a deep guiding purpose and sense of destiny. Let us not forget that a support for an innovator, who is a LIGHT to his people is a support for victory over poverty, unemployment, hardship, pains and sorrow.....it is victory over darkness. Deltans should therefore, arise and scrutinise the many aspirants on the line for the States number one seat, without fear or favour, spot Sir Tony Obuh out and throw their full weights behind him. An adage has it that him whom the cap fits, let him wear it. The cap fits perfectly well on Sir Tony Obuh. With 32 years of meritorious service to our people in the States Civil Service Commission and 8 years as a Permanent Secretary before he honourably retired few months ago, Tony Obuh has touched lives in many different ways and proved himself to be an asset of inestimable value. His disciplinary disposition, honesty and dedication to duty reverberated across the entire state and beyond all through his many years in service, a known and an indisputable fact which even his political opponents in the guber race can attest to. He is a square peg in a square hole. No wonder his high acceptability across the state. Therefore, the time now is here which must probably determine whether Deltans are to be free people, entitled to dividends of democracy which they have always been robbed of, or continue to be enslaved by greedy, selfish, sectional, sentimental and egoistic political jobbers. Sir Tony Obuh has the answers we seek and a support for him is a support for good governance because he is a shining light whom the cap fits perfectly well on him. Long live Sir Tony Obuh, Long live Delta State.
