DELTA COALITION 4 IFEANYI OKOWA THE MISSION, VISION AND THE STRUCTURE. The first general meeting of Delta Coalition 4 Ifeanyi Okowa was held at squash Club, Government House Asaba on 19th Dec 2014. It was well attended by PDP faithfuls from across the State. Addressing the members, the state co-ordinator of the group, Mr A. M. Mene told them that the NISSION of the group was to bring the supporters of all the elsewhile PDP governorship aspirants and other PDP faithfuls together to fuse into a formidable grassroot campaign and mass mobilization movement to work towards ensuring TOTAL victory for Senator Okowa and all the PDP candidates including Mr President at the Feb. general polls. He told the House that the VISION behind the movement was to ensure that the tempo of the mass supports which the party garnered during the run-up to the primary was sustained. We decided to initiate this platform as an extension of the BIG UMBRELLA to accommodate everybody. he added. Continuing, he said, we must stick together to face the challenges of the February 2015 general elections, we are not deterred by cynicism from some quarters about what we are doing, as grassroot politicians, we know what it takes to win elections, we know that we have to get everybody involved when going for elections, so the proactive steps we took to hold our party numerous supporters together so that they do not defect to the opposition parties, will be appreciated after the polls. he stated. Further he said that the movement has the nod of the STATE PDP CAMPAIGN COUNCIL, our governorship flag-bearer, Senator Okowa and the supports of PDP top shots in the State like Amb. Gabriel Chukwuma Oyibode, Hon Syvester Monye and others. On the structure of the movement he described it as extensive and open-ended designed to accommodate everybody adding that anybody who wants to work for the victory of Senator Okowa and the party has a space and a big role to play in the movement. He thereafter outlined the STRUCTURE of the group thus; 1. The state working committee. 2. The Zonal working committee. 3. The Local Govt Area working committee and 4. The poll units canvassers. On this note, the house, appointed the following co-ordinators to oversea the activities of the group in the 3 Senatorial Zones and 25 LGAs in the state. CONCLUSION. In his final speech, Mr Mene charged the zonal and LGA co-ordinators to swing into full actions to constitute their various working committees by reaching out to all PDP support groups in their areas, laising with the party structures and the PDP candidates in their areas. He warned that any co-ordinator who is observed to be ineffective will be replaced immediately and stated that the group has mapped out more than 20 campaign methods to attract more voters to the party. He charged everyone to go home and tell their neighbours: That there is no other party in Delta State like the PDP because it is the only party that bridge Deltans of all ethnic nationalities. The only party that guarrantees equity, unity, peace, security and even distributions of opportunities among Deltans. The only party that promotes harmony within Delta Communities, communities without ethnic strives. That Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is prosperity for all Deltans. He is tested and trusted and very experienced in government with credible credentials.
