DELTA GUBER 2015 AND THE ANIOMA DREAM: SEIZING OUR GOD-GIVEN OPPORTUNITY-vINCENT jUDE oSHIAGWU In anticipation for Gods favour for an Anioma-born to pilot the affairs of our dear state come 2015, it is of utmost imperative to activate our faith and brace ourselves up to the reality that goals are only achieved through faith and work. God created everyone of us as an individual or as a people to fulfill our divine destinies, but admonished us to be diligent in our work and utilize our TIME judiciously. To be precise, HE laid out an exact plan for our lives. In HIS plan, HE has moment of favour that will come across our path. These moments are not ordinary but destiny-altering moments designed to thrust us ahead. For the Anioma people, that time of favour is right before us. For more than fourteen years now, the dream of a governor of Anioma extraction has filled our hearts and eyes hoping and believing it will be transformed into reality soon enough. Today, we are closer to the reality of that dream because God did not only put those dreams in our hearts but HE has promised HIS intention of bringing it to pass this time around if work in one accord. The choice, however, is now ours to UNITE and seize this our God-given opportunity. It is time to WORK together for our collective good.It bleeds my heart to read and hear severally in the media the in fightings, accusations and counter accusations among our Anioma politicians who are supposed to be role models to the Anioma people they serve and represent. Sadly, the fight has been that of supremacy. One wonders if they are not already shooting themselves on the leg before the race begins with such malicious attitude. Honestly, this division, selfish interest (instead of collective interest) and greed has the power to push God to anger and bless Jacob instead of Esau as it happened in time of old. No doubt, the Anioma people are blessed with vibrant and intelligent sons and daughters with potential, moral, financial and political where Jude: financial and political wherewithal needed to govern Delta state. Yes, we have capable hands that can deliver. An Anioma-born can be governor of Delta State. I want our Anioma politicians to know that a house divided against itself can never stand, let alone seizing the God-given opportunity set before them. God Almighty specifically said in HIS word that no good thing will HE withhold to those who walk uprightly.literally , those who live according to HIS precept, (politicians and non-politicians alike) will not miss their divine and God-given favour and opportunity. It is time for God to favour the Anioma people. If our politicians today can be bold enough to swallow their pride and decide to have a heart to please God without involving in campaign of calumny and rancour, Gods promises will surely come to pass in our lives in our time. He will not withhold wisdom, creativity,strength, joy and victory. To conclude this write up, I want to reiterate that the Anioma dream of producing the next governor of our State in 2015 may end up as a mirage if we dont work together. Failure to work together simply means working for your opponents, which is not in our best interest of our people if we truly want an Anioma-born governor come 2015. Let us look inward.
