DELTA GUBER 2015-SENATOR IFEANYI ARTHUR OKOWA,THE MAN WHO THE CAP FITS FOR DELTA UNITY HOUSE,ASABA-CHUKS LEWIS EHIWARIO It is no more news that Senator Ifeanyi Okowa will be contesting for the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Delta State. This is an ample opportunity for the Delta North Senatorial District to produce the State Chief Executive for the first time since the creation of Delta state. Senator Okowa is an astute politician with a good political pedigree. For instance, he was once the chairman of Ika North Local Government area and also served as commissioner in three ministries in Delta state. As a current Senator in the fourth republic, he needs the support of his kinsmen for the actualization that an Anioma son is the governor in the next general election. There have been diatribe and calumny against him, but the fact remains any attempt to truncate this opportunity for him to become the next governor of delta state, will remain an indelible mark in the political history of the Anioma people. We should not forget in a hurry, how Jim Nwobodo was used by Obasanjo in the PDP primary to scuttle the block vote of Alex Ekweme. Today, the Ibos have been relegated to fourth-class people in Nigeria when it comes to the issue of the presidential election. We should not allow this scenario to happen in our own case. There is the need of our collective purpose to support Senator Okowa for the office of governor in Delta state. What makes Senator Okowa a distinguish person for the position of a governor of Delta state is his leadership and exemplary attributes. Aside this, he has the dogma of empowering the less privilege in the society, especially the women and the youth, his policy has a human face, i.e. a policy that will transform the lives of all Deltans irrespective of political and ethnic affiliation. Furthermore, he is submissive and he listens to the common man on the street. These are outstanding qualities of a man that can move Delta state forward come 2015. It is our responsibility to allow this vision to come to reality. The promoting of human development is a key to the economic development of any country, as the governor in waiting of Delta state. Senator Okowa is aware of this, and he has in the pipeline to lay emphasis on the education and health sectors in Delta state. This would create jobs and reduces poverty . The attributes of our dear Senator cannot be overemphasized. It is the duty of the people of the Delta North senatorial district and Deltans at large to support the noble cause of Senator Okowa and by this he will be able to move Delta state to the next level.
