DEMONSTRATIONS, STRIKES FOR TODAY, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9: 10:00 The “Pan-Hellenic Fighting Front” (PAME) will gather at Omonia Square. 10:00 Doctors and employees of the Public hospitals will demonstrate outside of the Ministry of Health (17 Aristotelous Street, close to Omonia Square). A march will follow to the Parliament (Syntagma Square). 10:30 Various Leftist Organizations & Anti-Authoritarians will demonstrate at the National Archeological Museum (Patission Ave. / near Omonia Square). 11:00 The “General Confederation of Greek Workers” (GSEE) and the “Civil Servants Federation” (ADEDY) will gather at Klathmonos Square. A march will follow to the Parliament (Syntagma Square). Strikes for today, Wednesday, Apr 9 • Buses (beginning of shift until 09:00 and 21:00 until the end of the shift) • Ferries (Port employees) • Trains OSE (nationwide) • Trolleys (yellow bus employees) • Federation of Judicial and Prison employees • Journalists • Teachers • Municipal employees • Bank employees • Federal government and municipality offices • Public hospitals (only emergency services will be working) • Pharmacies (the pharmacy at the airport will not participate in the strike and will be open for business as usual (06:00 – 24:00). There will be a pharmacy on duty in each suburb. Metro Closure 10:00 The metro stations of Syntagma and Panepistimio will be closed due to the above scheduled demonstrations
