DENVER, CO – Denver Police have arrested a man believed to be involved with an attempted kidnapping in Northeast Denver that occurred several days ago. On Tuesday, September 17th, 2013 at approximately 4:05 p.m., an unknown suspect attempted to kidnap a 13 year-old victim while she was walking home from school. This incident occurred in the 3300 Block North York Street. A Crime Alert Bulletin was created that included a photograph of the suspect vehicle (white van) with unreadable license plates. Members of the Denver Police Department contacted a vehicle matching this description today at Bruce Randolph Avenue and Steele Street. Further investigation lead to the arrest of Oscar Escobedo-Vasquez, (DOB 12-04-1975) for one count of Investigation of Criminal Attempt Kidnapping. The Denver Police Department is not releasing a photo of this suspect at this time because this investigation is ongoing and additional witnesses are still being contacted. No further information is available at this time.
