DENYING BIAFRA: Why do many Biafran intellectuals, technocrats, civil servants,business men and politicians appear complacent on the issues of Biafra, while spending hours discussing European League and Nigerian politics? At times they are not even bothered about how many of their brothers and sisters that are killed by Boko Haram in the Northeast or elsewhere in Nigeria. Why? At times the only thing they can do to show they heard the news of the deaths is to pray for their souls to rest in peace in our churches or built praying grounds for them. Is it as a result of fear or what? The fact is that no matter how far you run, Biafra will over-take you. If God says there is going to be Biafra this year or in near future, no amount of sabotage from you or anybody can stop it. In other lands and clime, where reasonable and decent people prevail, where mental and monetary corruption have not taken hold of the citizenry, everybody, including politicians, Clergy and Laity, businessmen and investors use their vocations to champion the course of their people. While politicians canvass for vote among their people with promises to present their case at the centre, which they religiously do on winning elections, businessmen use their investments to develop and empower their people, while Clergymen mount their pulpits to proclaim to the Laity the good news about their freedom from slavery. Sometimes people will hurriedly affirm that this sabotage to Biafran course is because the people had experience the first war and would not want to be reminded of the past hurrendous experience. To this I said NO. Germans fought two world wars within 20 years(1918 and 1938). Meanwhile why should we run away from a problem that is still right here with us? The problem that led to first war is still very much, if not more now than before. Why should our youths suffer and continue to suffer, even with signs that their children and childrens childrens children will also suffer ad infinitum just for being who they are, Biafrans? But even, on the fore-front of those championing the Biafran case now are veterans who participated during the first struggle. So what is your problem? Our problem is mental corruption. Some people wont even tell their children about the war. They will only fly briefly to the mental bliss of Biafra whenever he/she suffers directly from the dose of Nigerian injustice. Immediately the situation returns to normalcy, he will delete everything Biafra, shut his/her ears to the call for freedom and settle down into his imaginary comfort zone. BUT the truth is Biafra is already here, being secured by rif-rafs, vagabonds, motor-park touts, brick-layers, barrow pushers and artisans. Let nobody complain when the new nation will be led by these people. Nobody will sack all the Biafran civil servants that are in state service for proclaiming that they are Biafrans, because Nigeria already knows who you are. Nobody will close the shops of Biafrans in Biafra and Nigeria for proclaiming their Biafra-ness because Nigeria already knows who you are. Nobody will make Biafran politicians loose their election in Biafra land for campaigning to help to peacefully solve Nigeria insurgent situation which only Biafra can solve. Nobody will disturb and prevent Biafran market men and women from selling their wares for proclaiming their Biafra-ness. The whole schools in Biafra will never be closed down if our children are thought about Biafra and why we are dying in Nigeria. In fact no armoured car, Ferrets, Sub-machine guns, Fighter and Bomber aircrafts will be deployed into Biafra land simply because Biafrans started living as Biafrans. The more truth is that We are Biafrans before being Nigerians. Another Gospel truth is that Nigeria CAN NEVER BE ONE. Mark my word! If not today, then tomorrow. I just hope it will be today. I God I trust!
