DEO Sgr interacts with contesting candidates, political party representatives Asks for strict adherence to MCC SRINAGAR NOVEMBER 29:- On the last day of withdrawal of nominations for the fourth phase of election process for J&K Legislative Assembly, the DEO, Srinagar, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah today held an interactive session with the representatives of all political parties contesting elections from 8 Assembly Constituencies of Srinagar district including 18-Hazratbal, 19-Zadibal, 20-Eidgah, 21-Khanyar, 22-Habakadal, 23-Amirakadal, 24-Sonawar, and 25-Batamaloo. The General Observers, Expenditure Observers and Police Observer for Srinagar district besides SSP Srinagar, Returning Officers and Assistant Returning officers of all 8 Assembly Constituencies were also present on the occasion. Threadbare discussions were held regarding the better participation of electorates in the Assembly elections of Srinagar district besides the contesting candidates were asked strictly adhere to the guideline of Election Commission of India. The Observers on the occasion, asked for maintaining the expenditure registers besides abiding by the MCC guidelines. The DEO also impressed upon all contesting candidates and representatives of various political parties present on the occasion to ensure smooth, free and fair elections in all the 8 Assembly constituencies of the district besides ensuring massive turn out on the day of poll in the district.
