DEPRESSION: Im reading more about a Christian perspective on depression. I find most of it shallow and only talks about depression in general terms (even if biblically correct) and what needs to be done. This shows the Church has no idea the severity of depression and the suffering one goes through who really is suffering with it. It also the Church is no way prepared to deal with the many who will be soon revealed to have depression, be suicidal, etc. The real work of the Church is to be out there on the front lines of mental illness. I pray Christ in me can use me effectively in this area. For I know the true victory is CHRIST IN YOU, CHRIST IN THE CHRISTIAN. Seeing the New You - Christ In You - is how the Holy Spirit begins to do His healing, His work, into His Victory.
