DEPUTY PRODUCTION MANAGER - SOUND We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Production Manager in Sound to join our senior production team onboard, reporting directly to the Production Manager. You will be responsible for the operational delivery of all aspect of entertainment sound. Specifically this will involve the ability to operate all sound equipment to a high standard. Covering a diverse range of entertainment during both the day and evening, you will cover the sound production on guest lecturer’s, cabaret shows, deck activities, musical programmes and much more. You will be responsible for up to 12 direct reports, providing support to the overall success of the entertainment production. Your day will primarily involve morning set up of bands and theatre shows, attending rehearsals and cover up to 3 large shows per night, all whilst ensuring equipment is maintained and functional. As a Deputy Production Manager in Sound your main responsibilities will be: - Responsible to the Production Manager for the technical delivery of all aspects of entertainment sound - Managing a team of up to 12 direct reports, ensuring the team is delivering the best possible entertainment standards onboard - Assist with all aspects of Health and Safety procedures for the entertainment technical staff. - To carry out regular safety checks and maintenance of all sound technical equipment as described by the onboard maintenance policy - To attend daily meetings with the Production Manager to ensure a complete overview of the onboard sound meets the highest standards and passenger satisfaction - To be responsible for all stock levels of sound equipment held by the production department - Responsible for safety duties in emergency situations To be considered for this position you must have: - Supervisory experience within a production team, with a hands on approach to management - Experience working with large digital desk equipment - Experience working at big venues with a varied experience working on concerts, theaters or individual acts This is a fantastic opportunity for a complete life style change. However, life on board does mean working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week for the 6 months that you are onboard. The ten hours will be split between morning set up, afternoon rehearsals & evening shows. Therefore you will have time off in the day and also opportunities to go shore side when in port and take local leave in far away destinations. The role comes with your own cabin and opportunity for accompanied travel after one years’ service. All uniform and meals are provided.
