DESPITE being constantly mobbed by the paparazzi in Cannes, Sean Combs, aka P Diddy, has insisted he is keeping his first appearance at the festival low-key - because he is looking to establish himself as a credible actor. He may be a very big fish in the music and fashion industries, but the rap mogul is keen not to ruffle any feathers among the Hollywood set he is vying to join - even if that means starting at the bottom again. He didnt fly into Cannes by private jet but on a regular chartered flight from the US, with a blanket over his head so he wasnt recognised, he has revealed. As an actor, a lot of directors and producers dont want to deal with my entourage so Im flying by myself, he has said. Im a movie star in the making.
