DEVELOPING: House of Reps seek excetional power to impeach the president. This is a follow up of an argument by a member of the national assembly opposing a provision in the constitution that in any case of gross misconduct, the Chief Justice should set up a committe to look into the case and recomend impeachment if necessary. However, Reps argue that an appointee of the president should not move for impeachment, rather the parliament should do so. Meanwhile, a likely impeachment process is lingering on the floor of the national assembly, against the president for failing to execute more than 30% of the budget.
