DEVILS ADVOCATE TIME: Genau! Im curious, ignorant, naiive or just plain dumb! Maybe all four, depending on the time of day and/or whether or not Ive had the benefit of genießing a bier or two while giving matters like this serious thought...! And that matter is: Is the so-called N-Word (Nigger, yeah, I said it!) to be equated/treated equally with the word Neger when discussing the etymological origin in of the word in either the German or USA/American context? The question arises as I watched the following video which seems to make a strong connection between the world famous N-Word (Nigger) and the German N-Wort, Neger (althought that was never ausdrücklich stated). Ive always thought they were not the same. So why are they NOW being treated the same. On the other hand..., if theyre not the same, then whats the purpose of some folks out there on our side of the racial divide driven to engage in this mindless reflexive word masturbation in a politically left-oriented effort/design to connect/associate issues that do not exist in the real and natural world.
