DEVOTION AND DEDICATION TO GOD LEADS SREYAS: Mind is the cause for mans bondage as well as moksha. Attachment to object leads to bondage; devotion to Parameswara gives moksha. When man sees an object, desires arises in him, which turns into greed; and to possess it immediately, even by intelligent means, he gets into a bind which embroils him in a hopeless situation. Man is caught in the vicious cycle, based on past actions leading to further hardship. Release from this cycle is called Moksha. The way to attain it is to control the mind and develop attachment to easwara. Attachment to God means devotion to god, love, sraddha and unshakable faith. It purifies the mind, which gets absorbed in God. Therefore, if man gives priority to devotion and performs the actions ordained for him, dedicating them to god, he becomes dear to him.
