DEVOTION SAT 06-08-2013 Pastor Pio Matthew 26: 14-17 “Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot went to the chief priests and said “what are you will to “GIVE ME” to betray Him to you, and they weighed out thirty pieces of silver to him(NIV). Here was someone who made a bad choice, and paid the ultimate price, by hanging himself. He was already in an elite group of men, who were known as the 12 disciples of Jesus. But, HE FAILED TO REALIZE HOW SPECIAL HE WAS. Judas Iscariot witness Jesus everyday giving people hope, love, joy etc. Our God is a giving God; He gave us His only Begotten Son. He listens daily to the wisdom of the Master, and witness the miracles that Jesus performed. But he still decided to allow the devil in his heart. The verse shows us why he did what he did. He was selfish, and had his personal motives. He follows Jesus, but he wasn’t fully devoted. He was supposed to be like the Master, giving, helping, encouraging and loving people. Instead he allows the enemy to remove him from the Will of God. In the end, the 30 pieces of silver, wasn’t worth it. He lost a close relationship he had with Jesus, the peace of mind, the blessing etc… Beloved, WHAT THE DEVIL OFFERS US WILL NEVER SATISFY US. Stay in the Will of God, and don’t allow anything to move you away from it. Be like the Master today, and help someone, pray for someone, invite someone to church, and make an impact for God’s kingdom today. Remain Blessed!
