DEVOTIONAL “5. When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? 6. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.” (John 6: 5-6). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. When Jesus saw the multitude that came to Him, He asked Philip where they could buy bread. If they were going to buy bread, they needed to part with money or something else in order to get the bread; they needed to give something in exchange for the bread; they needed to lose something to gain something. Jesus already knew what to do, and eventually, no bread was bought but He still fed the multitude. Nothing was lost or exchanged, but God did what only He could do; nothing was given in order to make the miracle happen. The miracle came freely. Friend, God says, there will be no exchange, but you will be divinely satisfied. You will not lose something to gain something; God does not need any thing from you in order to make your miracle happen; it will happen by the finger of God. Your testimony will be birthed by God Himself; your next level will come by divine intervention; the provision for your destiny will come by the finger of God; the things you need God to make happen will not need your contribution at all. In the systems of men, you need to do something to gain something, you may need to be nice to get promoted, you may need some eye-service in order to gain certain favours, etc; but when God is involved, He does it all by Himself; you won’t need to give something; you wont need to earn it to get it. James 1: 17 puts it this way: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” Pray With Me: Lord, as I gain divine satisfaction, there will be no exchange, in Jesus’ name!
