DGE Gina Growden writes: Greetings from San Diego where Harold and I are currently attending the International Assembly where we are receiving our final training in preparation for my year as District Governor. Tonight we attended the opening ceremony and were addressed by current RI President Gary Huang who welcomed us to the Assembly, and then by the incoming President for 2015-16, Ravi Ravindran, who announced his theme for the coming year. The theme is Be A Gift to the World which is a fantastic theme and one that, I believe, will inspire Rotarians from all over the world to get behind him and continue to carry out the wonderful work that Rotarians do. Harold and I are very privileged and excited to be here in San Diego and look forward to exchanging ideas with many inspirational and like-minded Rotarians over the next few days. We also look forward to sharing this experience with you when we return to Sydney at the end of the month.
