DIAMOND - A0980207 @ the Manhattan NY High-Kill Shelter A volunteer writes: Diamond will be the gentleman with the flower until I take a new picture of him, with a tie this time. I am sorry, Diamond... Diamond is an elderly dog left with us at the Manhattan Care Center as his owner of fifteen years was not able to take care of him anymore. He is said to be a very good dog who loves all pets and to cuddle. Diamond indeed, lived in peace with cats and dogs, played with children and was good to strangers. The previous owner states he is housetrained and bath-tub trained and trusted to room free in the home in the absence of his family. Diamond is a cute old dog with still lively dark eyes, a sharp contrast with his almost all white body. He is a little bit shy at first with me but gets friendly very quickly, coming right away when I call him and getting all excited when I talk to him in "baby talks". Diamond was loved, I can tell ...He sits next to me or lays down at my feet..He loves treats and will search my bag for more. He sits on command and walks with enthusiasm like the puppy he once was . He gets out of breath quickly. We slow down and then go again. Diamond is no quitter and I admire him so much for that. Diamond is near the end of his life. He needs a quiet corner to see maybe a few more seasons. Will you open your home and your heart to this lovely senior? https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=681565408523008&set=a.617942388218644.1073741870.152876678058553&type=3&theater
