DIC organizes Cultural programme cum multilingual Mushiara UDHAMPUR, March 15:- A Cultural programme cum Multilingual Mushiara was organized by District Information Centre, Udhampur in the premises of Keshav Vidya Kendra High School , Ramnagar here today for the promotion of languages and culture in the area. Principal of the school, Mrs. Renu Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion. In the Mushaira 13 poets participated and read their poems on the issues of national integration, social evils, secularism, gender inequality etc. The prominent and budding poets of the district which mainly include Abishap, Duni Chand Tripathi, Om Sharma Jandrari, Dr. Sandeep Sufi, Joginder Dubey, Desh Raj Tripathi, Dwarka Nath, Dev Raj and others presented their poetic verses touching all aspects of life . The young poets of the district also presented their poetry in a great perfection which also got appreciation by the audience present on the occasion. The poets recited their poems and gazals in Urdu,Dogri, Hindi and Punjabi languages . A scintillating Cultural programme comprising of local folk songs, gazals were also presented by the local artists which was highly appreciated by the audience. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the efforts of Information department for organizing such a scintillating Cultural programme and entertaining multilingual Mushaira. She said that more such programmes should be organized to provided a platform to writers and artists to express their views and convey their message to the society. Among others, Incharge Tehsil Information Center, Ramnagar, Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Administrator of the host school, Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Nagma Pandotra, Bandhana and other staff member were present on the occasion.
