DICHOTOMY IN PDP SPEAKS VOLUME! The conclusion that the declaration of a new political party by the five governors who walked out of the special convention was spontaneous is not well reasoned. Neither is the view that the crisis within PDP started with the confusion surrounding the NGF chairmanship election. One should at least entertain the possibility cessation was a plan B option hatched by the dissenting members of PDP. Politicians at that level are very unlikely to react spontaneously and rush to form a new political party to challenge a ruling party in power. Alhaji Yakassai has been within the corridors of power for long and it is good that he has access to the president. It seems to me however, that the best advice the president will ever obtain is from those that will never attempt to seek his audience. Sir Jimanze Ego-Alowes, the celebral SunNews Columnist in his Turf Game article of Thursday 19th September 2013 presented the most reasoned option for the president under the present circumstances. It has become obvious to me that the best advice GEJ will get will come from those whose advice has got to search and seek. He actually has no choice in this regard. Woe betide the South South and South East zones of the country; and the larger Nigerian space if president Jonathan ever leaves the power stage without the fundamental renewal of the Nigerian face which can only be envisioned by the best of the best minds amongst us.
