DID A BIRD FALL FROM SKY AND TURNED TO WOMAN? Africans Are Victims of Ignorance and Religious Superstition -Attorney Patryk Utulu Shame on Africans. Here is a woman beaten to an inch of her life by a crowd of insane illiterates filled with superstitious rage. They claimed a bird fell from the sky and turned into this woman. They have video of everything EXCEPT THE BIRD for which they condemned her to street justice. WHERE is the BIRD that turned into this woman? ALL that is shown in the video is a defenseles woman at the mercy of a crowd and superstitious police officers doing less than adequate to protect her. The nonsensical story about bird is typical in Nigeria. Nothing but fantasy. Have you noticed that African women accused of witchcraft are usually WOMEN without strong male sons or women without children or women who were cast out by their husbands or women whose families are without influence in the superstitious community? I have yet to see an accused witch whose son or husband is a powerful man in the community. What does that say about Africa? That we tend to take out our community grievances on THOSE LEAST ABLE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES and then justify our barbarism with fake stories of witchcraft. Also, that religion in Africa is less than skin deep because whenever witchcraft is the issue so-called religious people are at the front of the crowd embracing superstition. What is the value of your religion if it does not reassure you to trust the safety of God/Allah? How many times do we allow people and community to justify targeted cruelty by accusing victims of witchcraft? In Africa those who are most religious tend to be slaves to superstition. Whether it is Ebola or HIV or stupid green candle lit on their doorway these religious Africans quickly run back to their villages to seek the help of babalawo herbalists. What is the value of praying everyday if you cannot trust Allah/God to look after you in times of trouble? Prayers go up and blessings come down. Allah/God is NOT a car whose engine you must turn on everyday BEFORE you can ride. It is time that Africans learn that when you pray to the Almighty you must trust the Almighty to take care of you without the need for instant and incessant mumbo-jumbo of your priest/imam/babalawo. This abused woman and her abusers are ALL slaves to SUPERSTITION
