DID PDP RAISE ONLY 21 BILLION NAIRA THAT DAY? Not at all likely. From what I know of the PDP, their governors, ministers, MDAs and contractors, they would have raised at least N500 billion that day. Their claim of N21 billion and secrecy over who donated how much is, however, evidence that - contrary to widely held view - PDP people do have conscience. And, given the suffering they have inflicted on Nigerians (including civil servants owed salaries and contractors owed moneys), they were embarrassed by the billions that flooded in from sources previously thought to be cash-strapped. At a time that Ngozi was preaching austerity! Not criminal to raise funds but certainly suspicious - even dubious - to be secretive or non-transparent about it.
