DID THEY SPIT ON YOU? A question posed to me yesterday afternoon by a young man who fought in Iraq...we only had an opportunity to converse for a few minutes and yet I was left with a troubled heart...departing he muttered over his shoulder, "I wish I could have fought in the jungles of Vietnam instead of Iraq." At 4:00 in the morning and 40 years later I still do not sleep. It is difficult for me to believe that the Iraqi Veteran will not have the same difficulty...I am NOT whining. I am writing. If I can understand whys for myself then maybe, just maybe, I might help prevent what is still in me to continue having such a devastating impact on him... In a broader sense, we all have suffered from the harsh realities of this life. If you know of someone that suffers from similar troubles that you have endured then understand their unspoken cry for help, and reach out with a love that transcends all...your love and love freely given to you...mogwog
