DID YOU KNOW: CANCER is the leading cause of death by disease in children and adolescents? DID YOU KNOW: Cancer claims the lives of more children each year than AIDS, asthma, cystic fibrosis and diabetes combined? DID YOU KNOW: Each year in the United States, approximately 13,500 children and adolescents younger than 20 years of age are diagnosed with cancer? DID YOU KNOW: Over 175,000 children are diagnosed with cancer worldwide each year? DID YOU KNOW: One out of every 300 males and one out of every 333 females in America will develop cancer before their 20th birthday? Childhood cancer does not discriminate, sparing no ethnic group, economic class or geographic region! As if CANCER isn’t BAD enough……it hits CHILDREN……some who have not even had a chance to experience life itself! September is “Childhood Cancer Awareness” month and Elite Cheer and Tumble has joined forces with Ashley’s Cancer Kidz to raise funds for two local families that are battling childhood cancer! PLEASE come out and join the fun and festivities TOMORROW from 2PM-4PM here at ELITE CHEER & TUMBLE: 3804 Cook Blvd Unit #13, Chesapeake VA. Just some of the fun and festivities that will be happening tomorrow will be: Chesapeake Engine #9 will be here with fire hats, coloring books and other goodies, K9 Unit doing a doggie Demo, Ident a Kid Table, Chic-Fil-A Cow, Elite Heats Mascot PETE will be handing out goodies, Create a Card Station, Face Painting and Tattoo, 50/50 Raffle, Giant Inflatable Slide, Open Gym Tumbling/Stunting & Cheer with Instructors, Baked Goods, Food, Door Prizes, Games, Relays and TONS OF FUN…..for a GREAT CAUSE!
