DID YOU KNOW: Cutting fat completely out of your diet can actually be detrimental to your weight loss goals? The body uses certain fats in healthy ways and as part of building a strong metabolism. Fats are important for many reasons including: Brain and neural function, thermoregulation, vitamin solubility, and aesthetic things like healthy hair and skin!! some good examples include: -Fish and other seafood, especially salmon and other fatty fish -Walnuts, pecans, and almonds -Flaxseed oil -Vegetable oils like canola, olive, soybean, corn, sunflower, and safflower -Sesame, pumpkin, and other seeds However, it is still important to consume these in moderation if your goal is to lose fat and gain lean muscle. Fat is the most calorie dense macronutrient and should be regulated. Fat should only be 17-18% of your calorie intake, Protein should be about 55% and a mixture of complex and simple carbs should be the remaining 28% Have a nice day!
