A kairos moment is God-given, not manufactured by man. You are never prepared for the moment that changes your life, but if you surrender yourself into the hand of God, to His will, you will discover a moment designed only for you, a moment where the promise of God collides with the timing of God. A kairos moment is a moment when your faith must over-shadow your doubt, your strength must over-shadow your weariness, and your courage must conquer your fear. Never lose sight of the fact that you are here for a reason, and that you possess the tools to discover what that reason is. A kairos moment represents Divine Truth in your life. Seek Gods wisdom and His divine truth for your life, and prepare for a collision; What is a Disciple? It means learner and orienting our lives to be more like Christ. It means responding to the call to be a disciple and to disciple others. Do we have a life worth imitating and that others see Jesus like qualities in us? Do you want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection? Can you share this with others? Can you describe a time when God broke into your life with an event that changes you yet again? Are you a disciple of Christ? This means you now: a) Bear your cross daily b) Abide in the word c) Love as Christ loves d) Reproduce by passing on the news W orship The Danish theologian, Soren Kierkegaard, compared worship with going to the theater. He said that, for many Christians, going to worship was like going to see a play. They decided which show to see, dressed properly, arrived on time, were ushered to their seat and waited for the show to begin. They were part of the audience that watched the performers — clergy, acolytes, musicians, and ushers — put on the play. At some time, they could expect to pay for admission — usually during intermission. After the play, they had dinner, went home, evaluated the performance and decided whether to return to that theater or look for another. Then Kierkegaard, asked, “Where is God in all of this? In New Testament worship, the people in the congregation are the actors who have come to DO something — to worship. God is the audience — the one who watches and listens. So, what about the pastor and other worship leaders? They are the “prompters” who help the congregation do its worship. The four New Testament words translated into English as “worship” are VERBS — action words. Worship is not something that we attend and watch, it is something that we DO. Worship is a way of saying, “God is No.1”. Nothing and no one is more important than God. Worship is a time to get our priorities straight — at least for a little while. All week, we have lived as if we were No.1. Now we acknowledge God is No.1, and everything else comes “after” God — including us. God is not here to serve us. We are here to serve God. Are you here to serve God? moyockumc
