DILLY NEEDS YOUR HELP.... We got news from Verity at Headrock Dogs Rescue about this dear little dog Dilly and the urgent need to amputate her front leg after an horrific accident. K9Aid are trying to raise $300 to help pay the medical bills for Dillys amputation. k9aid.org/cs_cause/dilly-needs-your-help/ Almost a year ago we heard the heartbreaking story of Dilly who was run over by a 6 wheel truck loaded with gas canisters driven by her owner. Verity received a tearful urgent phone call from the drivers wife saying Dilly was lying under the truck which she has never done before. Her owner started to drive away when there was a terrible scream and he slammed on his breaks just in time to avoid killing her. But poor Dilly was very badly injured as he had driven over her front leg and half her body. Dilly was rushed to Hua Hin for surgery where she had several operations on her stomach wound. It was thought her leg had lost all feeling so it wasnt attended to until suddenly it swelled up to double its size in the last 4 days. Infection has suddenly set in at an alarming rate so amputation was the only option. This latest update from Verity... Dilly had her amputation operation this morning and is now on our tiled floor in our house so I can tend the wound until it’s completely healed. She woke up about an hour ago and screamed in pain, tried to get up and collapsed. I don’t think I’ll be getting much sleep tonight. Dilly will return to her loving owners who think the world of her when she has completely recovered. All the shop owners in the compound know and love Dilly and she’s truly admired for her courage in pulling through her terrible injuries last year. This latest development is very sad and I shed a few tears when she returned from her operation. If anyone is willing to help fund Dilly’s recovery we’d be so grateful. She will need a lot of medication, dressings, pain killers and vitamins to help boost her strength whilst she’s recovering. I will update you all on how Dilly’s operations went and her condition in a few days’ time. We truly want to help Verity care for Dilly. We have set up a donation page for Dilly here where you can make a an instant donation. k9aid.org/cs_cause/dilly-needs-your-help/ Thank you for caring about Dilly. x
