DINGLEBERRY. I dont know how Little Joe got the nickname - TopicsExpress

DINGLEBERRY. I dont know how Little Joe got the nickname dingleberry, but once he got branded he couldnt shake it. At first, I thought it was a berry used in a pie, which sounded like a compliment. Then one afternoon playing scrabble with my aunt Dee, who graduated from Harvard - with honors, I triumphantly used the word. My aunt was surprised. Martin where did you pick up the word, dingleberry? At school. In what context? The kids call Little Joe Meta, dingleberry. Do you think dingleberry is a compliment? Im not sure. I was under the impression it was like a blueberry, or a raspberry. No Martin, it is not. It means a dried feces caught in the hair around a furry animals anus. Well, giving it a little thought, Little Joe is pretty hairy. Martin, dont toy with me! That is not nice. I never want to hear you call that little boy or anyone a dingleberry. Do I have your word on it? Yes, you have my word on it. I have one caveat, however, in our game, dingleberry counts and I win! Years later, as the keynote speaker at a class reunion, I reminded my fellow classmates of Little Joe Meta, the dingleberry who died a hero trying to rescue a downed pilot near the Mu Gia Pass between Laos and North Vietnam. -MDP
