DIRECTORS NOTE: During our time-lapse shoot in January 2013, our crew climbed up the 177 steps to the Lutheran BellTower for this view over the Old City. We set the 3D cameras to capture an exposure every 3 seconds over 6 hours to catch the sunset while dollying forward (so the final shot appears in constant motion). We started the shot at 3pm. At 5pm sharp and completely unexpected to us, the bells went off. The shot was ruined by the vibration and our poor crew stumbling out of there almost deaf: Alex Falk, Peter H. Chang and Dustin Farrell, Garo Nalbandian, Shabtai Itzhak, Rami al-Khatib, Hamoudie Bouquie and Sasha Gorev. Moral of the story: check with the Lutherans first before climbing the steps! #tbt
