DIRTYPALOOZA 2013 is perfect evidence of the smoothest race - TopicsExpress

DIRTYPALOOZA 2013 is perfect evidence of the smoothest race program in years at The Mushroom Bowl. With just over 120 entries, one of the largest events held by MBRC Hobbies was executed in orderly fashion and more timely than anyone could have ever expected. From parking to the timing of the Qualifiers and Mains to the track maintenance and raffles - everything seemed where it was supposed to be throughout the entire day. Facepainting, crafts, massages, and play areas for the kids kept the non-racing crowd entertained and everyone was welcome to all-you-can-eat hamburgers and hotdogs from a true grilling master. The track welcomed some new very fast racers for Dirtypalooza 2013. Jamie Grayek, Ofir Komerian, and Bobcat Jay, among others were able to show off their skills at a track new to them. One of the local favorites, 12 year old Tyler Cook, grabbed some attention for himself as he was able to make two podiums stops (1st 2wd SC, 2nd Nitro Truggy). Another rising star, David Jablonski, also nabbed a pair of trophies (1st Electric Buggy, 3rd Nitro Buggy). Javier (Scooby) Horton dominated the Electric Buggy and 4x4 SC classes taking the TQ in both (1st 4x4 SC). Novice racers, Chase Kimley and Evan Hutchings, battled for 1st and 2nd, ending in that order with Jen Cook coming in a close 3rd. Here is the breakdown of all the winners: NOVICE: 1. Chase Kimley 2. Evan Hutchings 3. Jen Cook 1/8 Electric Truggy: 1. Matt Brown 2. Justin Lally 3. Allen Hicks 1/10 2wd Short Course Truck Modified: 1. Tyler Cook 2. Dustin Kendrick Jr. 3. Matt Klempa Dirtypalooza 2013 marks a solid turning point in the MBRC Hobbies / Mushroom Bowl race program. No longer is there any question that an incredible event can be held there. Two great event sponsors jumped onboard - Team Trinity and Cow RC - with numerous donations for giveaways and raffles which all of the racers enjoyed. This race could not have gone any better and signups are already happening for the next big trophy race at this facility. With the excitement and momentum still building at MBRC, the future looks more promising than ever!
