Your descendants go along with it and, after observing a memorial Ascension service, they take their children outside to play outdoor lawn games with toy Buddha statues and other Buddhist religious symbols. To these, your great great great grandchildren, Buddha isnt even a familiar term. Its all but forgotten in history. It holds no sway in their reality. In fact, most of your childrens children believe that Buddha Sunday is the official proper name for Ascension Day. How would that make you feel?
