DISCLAIMER: Im pretty sure that this post is inspired by all the rest that Ive seen on Facebook lately, regardless, Im elated about the possibilities the next 48 hours may have in store for me. Everyone has been posting about following their dreams, overcoming difficult circumstances in their life, or just thanking everyone who has helped them get thus far. While I would love to complete all three with this post, Im not. This one is specifically for following my dreams. If you know me, you know how bad I want to break into the professional world of journalism. If youve been around me lately, you know how hard Ive been working on opportunities to do so. That is why I am ecstatic to say that I will be traveling to New York City to hopefully achieve that dream. Not only will I be rubbing elbows with some of the brightest up-and-coming journalist in the world, but, I also will get the opportunity to speak with executives from the biggest media companies in the United States. All of this can, and hopefully will, turn my dreams into a reality. I usually hold back on saying anything about these types of matters but I feel that a blessing like this is something I have to share. So, heres to me and this opportunity Ive been given. I promise I will do everything in my power to share good news if I receive it.
