DISCLAIMER: This post is originating on the Facebook wall of John W. Pace, aka John Boy (among other select nicknames that are less flattering). Be advised that John Boy is prone to Facebook posts that: 1. are brutally honest, 2. reflect a conservative political stance, 3. reflect Christian values (as opposed to other religions), 4. may be rude, crude, and socially unacceptable, 5. will seldom be politically correct, 6. may solicit funds on behalf of those in need, 7. may encourage you to better diet and physical fitness, 8. may be biased towards certain sports teams, 9. will often be biased against certain sports teams, 10. are more often than not (as if the case with this post) written out, studied for accuracy, and well thought out prior to posting, 11. may be biting towards a particular behavior, but never to cause intentional harm to a specific person, 12. show a longing for a kinder, gentler days of long ago (nostalgic), but above all, they will always be uniquely John Boy. Now, if you know John Boy, if you have seen him operate long enough, you will know where his heart is and you will know when certain posts come to just brush them off and say, thats just John Boy. You should never take life too seriously, especially someones Facebook posts; especially MY Facebook posts. If you read a post and you find it truly hurtful to you, I can tell you now I would apologize for that and tell you I have never knowingly posted something to intentionally harm another human being. If you read a post and you are offended because I am attacking a behavior and you choose to take that behavior upon yourself, oh well. You can unfriend me, block me, or we can agree to disagree; whatever makes you happy. But, if you read a post and it makes you think, it makes you consider, it gives you hope, it gives you pride, it makes you laugh, it makes you shake your head, it encourages you to be a better person, or it compels you to reach out to help others, then I have hit the mark I was aiming for. That is the intent. To suffer fools and debate the obvious and create drama on Facebook is never, ever my intent. I can assure you of that. Thats my opinion and I could care less if its yours or not.
