**DISCLAIMER** This question is coming from the idealist that lives inside me. Im aware that its unrealistic. SO, Institutionalized religion has posed many problems throughout history and up to present day, including war and death that are not congruent with the basic principles of religious doctrine and teachings (peace and love for example...) How can we change the institution of religion, not belief systems or spirituality, or worship, to allow for a more peaceful and tolerant environment of believers in higher powers, non-believers and all others who fit in to different categories? What would need to change? What could be done to allow for people to continue in their course of belief while taking the struggle for power that exists in the leadership and politics (institutions) of religion, OUT? I am neither condemning or praising any specific religion, belief system or non-belief system. I am trying to wonder this objectively. Please join me in that effort. Try to think outside your own belief system and wonder this objectively with me, and with a survey of the world, rather than your immediate community. Again, these are wonderings from an idealist point of view. I would just like to start a discussion and hear peoples thoughts. People who I would love a response from (if you have time): Wendy, Cathy, Anatasha, Kim, Chuck and anyone else who feels so compelled.
