DISCLOSURE At Output Nightclub in Brooklyn Last Night.... Since I first heard the name I bypassed them in a sea of music on Beatport, it wasnt until I saw and heard what they did to F For You with Mary J. Blige is when they got my attention, the original F For You was already great but adding Mary took it there. Immediately I started to follow... then digging and started loving what I was hearing, how young, where they were from and what skin color did not have a factor as MUSIC SHOULD NEVER HAVE but truth be told this duo 19 & 24 years of age GOT IT! For those who know me KNOW CLEARLY THAT I DONT BRAG MUCH ABOUT ANY GROUP LIKE THIS but these kids put the BIGGEST smile on my face and showed me that this Soulful House/Deep House scene is VERY MUCH ALIVE!!! Upon arriving to the venue the line was around the block LITERALLY and rightfully so, I mean these are the same kids who broke Sam Smith with Latch before Stay With Me & got a hit with F For You which includes them on her London Sessions album, this young duo has gone from Jimmy Kimmel Live to pretty much every major House Festival on earth yet no watering down there sound and keep it organic, deep, soulful traditional deep house. To the naysayers who are reading with with your lip perked up and with a different opinion to you I say THIS WAS MY 1ST SHOW SEEING THEM and I was impressed with what I heard and more importantly SURPRISED!? Why you my ask?.... truth be told DISCLOSURE whether you like to admit or not is a POP Dance act in the eyes of the music world yet they play very underground and its a great thing... not many were on their phones yesterday which consisted of a massive young 20 somethings just shazamming at times what they were losing their minds too... I knew and saw NO ONE i would normally see at the parties I frequent and to be honest after everything I witnessed last night... OUR HEADS SHOULD SUPPORT OR AT LEAST CATCH THESE KIDS IN ACTION... NOT ON YOUTUBE OR MIXCLOUD... NO.... LIVE OR THE DJ SET. If someone was there im pretty sure they can say EXACTLY how im feeling... RE-ASSURED, INSPIRED, ENERGIZED, I mean its not often you come across 2 young grammy nominated soulful house djs taking the music industry to a level we havent seen in awhile AND LIVED UP TO THE HYPE. If you never seen them YOU SHOULD!! If you havent seen them yet then you shouldnt critique what YOU DONT KNOW!!! They started there set with the youtube click I attached below which I believe is there latest single and proceeded after that with a coiuple of new jams I heard before and classic Soulful house cuts WE ALL LOVE AND KNOW!!! THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT FOR HOUSE MUSIC, THE REAL KIND THAT IS!. Written with a open mind, a love for Real House Music but most an optimistic look at the future of where the foundation of dance music WAS BUILT ON!!!
