DISCOMFORT ZONE :-) *comfort-a state of PHYSICAL ease and freedom from pain or constraint.(notice the word physical) This title may not seem very appealing to most, myself included at times. Youre also probably wondering why there is a happy face at the end as well. Instead of giving you an answer, how bout I ask you a question, Does comfort and happiness go hand in hand? When we think of the word comfort we automatically think that this is good thing. We often even make comfort our everyday goal. How would you react if I was to tell you that a state of comfort isnt exactly what God wants? Another way to define comfort is being stuck in the middle. Does it sound like a good thing now? But thats just it, settling for comfort is settling for the middle and not striving for the top. Comfort doesnt require any movement. So, your probably just sitting there. Shocking to some, God would actually prefer you to be at the bottom than the middle so He can use you to take you and others to the top. He allows you to sit in the darkness so He can show you the light. Furthermore, He does these things to prepare you to be the light in someone elses darkness. When God is calling you, He will point to an area of discomfort. Stuck in our earthly ways, we have the tendency to think that avoiding is the same thing as success or solution. Some of us will walk to the pointed direction and then find disappointment and think that index finger was from the hand of satan and not the hand of Gods. Run with Jesus dont just walk! Though God is highly patient with us, He does not want us to be patient with Him, because patience is a state of comfort. Eternity is at stake, so dont hesitate. You have the keys to His kingdom, all you got to do is turn it. Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
