DISCOVERY AIR AND JOVAGO BIRTHS STRATEGIC ALLIANCE FOR HOSPITALITY SECTOR: Jovago and one of Nigeria’s domestic carriers, Discovery Air has entered into a white label partnership that will make hotel booking services more accessible to Nigerians. The partnership will make the hotel booking portal Discovery Air’s official hotel partner allowing Nigerians visiting the Discovery Air website to find and book from over 200,000 hotels around the world listed on Jovago. “This is a great achievement for Jovago,” says Marek Zmyslowski, Managing Director of Jovago. Zmyslowski said the hotel booking site’s target is to “meet all its travelling customers wherever they may be, especially while they are in the booking process.” He noted that Jovago’s partnership with Discovery Air will make booking hotels even more accessible. Discovery Air also expressed delight at the partnership with Jovago as it says the white label hotel booking solution will ensure that in addition to booking flights across Nigeria, everyone visiting the airline’s website can also book hotels from an array of choices available on Jovago both in Nigeria and around the world. Since its incorporation in 2008, Discovery Air has been working towards its vision of becoming a world-class airline, a dream that dovetailed with Jovago’s growth plans. Arguably one of the largest online hotel booking portal in Africa, with over 5000 local listings across Africa, Jovago’s new partnership is expected to foster its growth on the continent.
