DISNEYLAND FACT OF THE DAY--Big Thunder Ranch, Part 1: The unused area of Frontierland behind 1979s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was finally developed in 1986. Themed to match the noisy railroad nearby, the serene Big Thunder Ranch looked like a working frontier ranch from the 1880s, complete with log cabin, stables, and the happiest horses in Earth, according to nearby signs. The most-photographed subject at the attraction was most likely Mickey Moo, a white cow with a natural black patch on its side that resembled Mickey Mouses head.
