DISOBEDIENCE! Disobedience is to deliberately do ones wish against a laid down rule or instruction. To be disobedient to God is to literally yield to self-will instead of surrendering to God and desiring His will in all things. Disobedience is a terrible thing and it tantamount to rebellion and distrust of God. Although disobedience seems harmless, it is very dangerous and can lead to permanent separation between man and God, this, making mans life miserable. To be disobedient is to sin or rebel against God 1Sam. 15:22-23). As such, God takes disobedience as capable of bringing curses upon anyone who disobeys His instructions and commandments Deut.11:26-28. CONSEQUENCES OF DISOBEDIENCE: It; 1. leads to separation between man and God. Isaiah 59:2. 2. result to mans loss of God-given authority to the devil. 2Tim. 2:26. 3. reduces a man to an ordinary toy in the hand of enemies. Judges 16:21. 4. lead to exposure to evil and removal of divine fortresses. Eccl.10:8. 5. result to physical, spiritual & eternal death. Rom.6:23, Rev.20:15 Heb.9:27. 6. brings affliction, pain, sorrow and punishment. Psalm 119:67. 7. hinders a man from fulfilling his destiny &purpose. Judges 14,15,16 8. leads to mans loss of dominion over all the works of God. Gen.1:28. Etc. NOTE: Its expedient that we do a spiritual check of your life today to see if you have not been disobeying God in anyway.
