DISTRESS MIGRANTS OF INDIA: Distress migrant is a term for those people who migrates within states of the union of India for a more comfortable life. Girls from distress migrant states loose their virginity at an early age of 15 years, usually to close relatives. Comfortable life maybe in the name of better salaries, climate, food, relationships, life infrastructure etc. People from states like Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Haryana etc. fits the bill. They migrate to states like Kerala, Delhi NCR, Punjab etc. in search of better life. State of Punjab was earlier called East Pakistan and were inhabited by muslims. They were converted to Sikh religion later. Still we can find people following muslim remnants of tradition like clothing, food, weaponry, hair growth, death ritual/burial of death etc. Bihar state is infested by people who migrated from China, Burma, Nepal etc. We can see that the people of Bihar still has facial features like eyes, forehead etc. like that of North-east Asian countries. Sometimes they try to start a comfortable life by starting a live-in relation with a person from the above said affluent states hoping that in time they would get a better life on their own. Some consider this as a welcome break to their life or say a vacation. Distress migrants are loored into other religions like Christianity too. They are told that if they denounce Hinduism and accept Christianity they will be provided with better living conditions by the church. The Indian national party, Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) gets its strength from the very basis of Hindu religion. But in areas of distress migrants they gain strength by the landlord-coolie relation. They say that if a worker wont vote for BJP then they wont be given enough wages and work. Fearing that they will starve, they readily vote for whomever the landlord says..
