DIVERGENT: PROS- Competent acting, solid fights, interesting story a la Enders Game/Hunger Games mash-up, Jai Courtneys acting is improved somewhat; Christian Madsen (son of Michael) is sure to get more roles after this, intriguing ideas and story development. CONS- Main villain doesnt get her comeuppance, beginning was overlong & shouldve been modified as it dragged and didnt jive with the remaining 2/3rds; Ray Stevenson, Ashley Judd, Mekhi Pfeiffer, Maggie Q & Tony Goldwyn are all underused, overdramatic music near the end, fights are shorter despite being competent.
