DIVERSITY IS WELCOME HERE. Just because I am a Catholic Clergy person does not in any way mean DIVERSITY is not welcome here. I have many extremely close friends who are from many other faith traditions: including Orthodox, Conservative and Reformed Jews, Muslims, Hindus, etc. Some of my VERY CLOSE friends are Pagans, Agnostics, and some are Atheists. All friendships are welcomed and nurtured here. A TRUE friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. I truly believe we can learn something from everyone. Many people are shocked when they learned that one of my dearest friends was the late famous atheist, Madalyne Murray Ohare, who was murdered years ago. We obviously had differing views on religion, but I grew to love her and respect her and learn from her passion as a person, and I believe she grew to love me. It saddens me deeply when I see those who profess to be be Christians speak ill of my Agnostic and Atheist friends! I hurts me down in the depths of past my gut into my soul. I hope by having honest exchanges on Facebook that we can stop that kind of blind bigotry and discrimination here. That is my hope. That is my prayer...
