DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY SHRINE OF THE DIVINE MERCY El Salvador - TopicsExpress

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY SHRINE OF THE DIVINE MERCY El Salvador City Misamis Oriental During the 4:00am Mass last Sunday, April 27, 2014, the priest mentioned that we should be thankful for a beautiful weather, with stars in the sky and a crescent moon above. I looked, and there it was, the moon. I wanted to capture it on my iPad. So, when the Mass ended, I set my iPad camera to selfie (use front camera) as the moon was behind us. I took several shots but the moon registered as just a tiny speck up there behind Aileen and me. Suddenly, the whole place became very bight. The sun was shining in its full splendour at a little past five in the morning. The crowd was facing the east, their back to the altar, clapping their hands, praising God. I looked at the sun. It was very big and very bright. I made a mental note to check the PAGASA report of Kuya as to the time the sun was to rise that morning and took several pictures, just clicking away as I am wont to do. I noticed something strange, though. The pictures were either dark, bright, or very bright. I suspected that there was something seriously wrong with my iPad. So, not wanting to miss anything, I took out my cell phone and took more still pictures. After a while, I decided to switch to video mode and just held my celfon over my head. Aileen was standing on a chair and she was urging me to do the same. I was reluctant (at this age, who wouldnt be?) But I later acceded. It was a very long show, lasting maybe more than 30 minutes. I did not bother to analyze what was happening to the sun. I just kept on shooting. Some people said the sun changed colors: red, blue, pink, etc. Some said they saw a host at the center. Some said the sun was dancing. Me, I just wanted to have something to show to my friends who could not be there at the time. And to those who, like the late Cardinal Sin, thought that it was just in the mind of those who went there because they wanted to see a miracle. ( Meron bang mass hallucination?) When I finally checked what I got in my camera, lo and behold, the sun was changing its size, expanding and contracting! It was Dra. Rose Balaquit who thought of the word pulsating. And that was when it occurred to me, Why, it reminds me of a beating heart. The Lord was telling us, reminding us that HE loves us. Each single one of us. As St. Teresa says, HE LOVED US FIRST.
