DIVINE RESTORATION by Deacon Niran Haastrup Restoration is turning things back to its original owner/purpose. Divine restoration involves supernatural touch- which gives MORE than it originally was. Divine restoration makes the final state better than the original. In John 5, we learn about a certain man who got healed at the pool in Jerusalem. This man had been laying there for 38years. His situation had made him lose time, resources, opportunities, hope and friends. He was now lying in the midst of the blind, lame and paralyzed. When one is displaced from Gods original purpose for one’s life, one loses time. However, his encounter with Jesus made him the talk of the town and brought him before the Jewish leaders who wanted to get to know more about him, his family and the one who healed him. May your encounter with Jesus turn your situation around and make you the talk of your town in Jesus Name! For this man’s restoration to be complete, he needed repentance. In verse 14 of John 5— “Afterwards, Jesus found him in the Temple and said, “Listen, you are well now; so stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” Additional Lessons from the Story 1.Get your eyes off the clock 2.Dont lose hope. Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire based on Gods promised. hope is faith in seed form, and when you see faith, it is the product of hope 3.Surround yourself with people who have succeeded in things youre looking for 4.DON’T stop praying about your situation 5.Repentance 6.Forgiveness 7.Some people need a word from God: 1 Samuel 30:8 ASV 8.Your complete restoration may tied to a seed 9.Dont let your condition become your conclusion John 5:1-18 Ecclesiastes 10:7 James 1:4 Job 42:10 Romans 15:4 PRAYER: May you receive a divine restoration this coming week in Jesus Name!
