HEAVENLY CHEMICAL FACTORY OPERATED BY EARTHLY LABOURERS! 2 Kings 4:4-7 And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. 5 So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. 6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. 7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest. This is the greatest secret of success when the supernatural God gets into partnership with mortal man. How do the two link up? This is a question that needs an honest answer for the benefit of all. This study series will help us to understand why some believers succeed and why others fail. God was going to multiply the oil on condition that there will be enough vessels to contain it! 2 Kings 4:5 So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. God will never fail to do his part in giving us what he has promised. It is important to live an instructed life and again here there is a problem. There are men and women of God whom God has appointed to be our instructors and if you avail yourself to a wrong person, you will waste precious years. How do I know that I am sitting under the correct spiritual instructor? God links up our spirits and it becomes is for one to understand the word of God when it is preached and obedience to given instructions is easy. It has nothing to do with spiritual status. This is why sometimes you will discover that the same topic that has been preached by someone else before when preached by a person God has linked your spirit with will mean so much. This does not mean that the other preacher is not a Christian but that the message he carries is not for you. The example I can give you is in Revelation chapter two and three. There are seven churches each with a different message. Those who were in the Laodicea church would have benefited less if they attended the church at Philadelphia. It is amazing what God has done for me that my messages have been accepted by thousands of people in various countries and some of these people do not even know who I am. God has linked up our spirits and glory be to his great and holy name. God will only fill the vessels that you have! 2 Kings 4:6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. The woman got the instructions from Elisha and borrowed vessels she assumed were enough. Sometimes we limit our own blessings by our reasoning. Some preachers limit God just by the name that is given to their congregations. This is just an example I am giving imagine you are in Botswana and you give your church the name “Botswana Church of Christ”. This in the sight of God shows that your field is Botswana and the Spirit of God cannot raise missionaries to go to South Africa because your church is a national church. Think of a church called “Africa Gospel Church”. So understand that you will have what your confess. May the Lord help us not to limit our blessings in Jesus Name. God filled the vessels she borrowed and the oil stopped. What a might God we serve! Success needs the divine and human part. Those who are lazy must forget about success. Some students think grade twelve is good enough for them whilst others think the first degree is all they need. My friend God will only fill the vessels you have.
