DIY Quadcopter (Drone) First Person View (FPV) racing. This reminds me of podracing from Star Wars Episode 1. The cost of a buying a drone (controllable with an FPV screen) has been dropping quickly. Now for about $500 you can get a drone with rock solid 1080p video and an FPV view screen. Last year it was around $1000. Next year $200. At that price its an impulse buy for many. These things are going to be everywhere! Heres one for only $130 thats been out for almost a year now. Its marginally usable..mainly for hobbyists and DIYers who are modding this thing to death. Better batteries and antennas, etc. The company showed a new improved version at C.E.S. last week which should be out soon and should be much more usable for the average person.
