DLP Candidate for Calare : Anthony is local health professional who has worked throughout the Central West region as an ambulance officer/paramedic since 1987. He left the ambulance service in 1996 and became a training officer with the Australian Red Cross FHS Department. It was here that he gained a deep understanding of asylum seekers and genocide in East Timor by the Indonesian government. He completed his registered nurse training in 2002 and left for a new career in the prison system. After 9.5 years as a nurse in the prison system, he left to work in the aged care sector. He completed a Master of Nursing Mental Health in 2010 at Wollongong University. Anthony is married to June and has three children, all who were born in Lithgow.
