DNA, Mumbai 12th Sept14 WIDTH OF CEMENT ROAD WONT BE REDUCED SAYS CIVIC BODY Addtional municipal commissioner SVR Srinivas on Thursday said it was unlikely that BMC would reduce the width of Cement Road even though the director has signed it. “There are certain procedures involved. I do not have the reason why the proposal was moved to reduce the width. How can we reduce the width of any road? As of now, it has not been approved and the matter stands as it is. The road width will remain as per development plan. There were some complains with respect to setback. This will be looked into by the ward and if there is any unauthorised structure, it will be demolished,” said Srinivas. Those who have been using Cement Road have alleged that actor Shahrukh Khan has encroached upon it by building a ramp to park his vanity van.
