DNA evidence has led investigators to identify the person responsible for a 2011 residential burglary. The victim of the burglary, a Middletown Avenue resident, reported her door had been forced open and over $7,000, worth of jewelry had been taken while she was visiting her elderly mother in the hospital. North Haven detectives collected DNA evidence left behind by the perpetrator. The DNA analysis assisted investigators in obtaining an arrest warrant for 30-year-old Henry Carisio who is from Cheshire. Carisio was arrested by warrant on September 30, 2014 and charged with Burglary and Larceny. His next court date is October 16, 2014 in Meriden Superior Court.
